It is totally understandable to have questions about services and courses before you book; and we are more than happy to answer any and all questions you may have.

Antenatal Course FAQs
Can my partner come?
Yes, One Birth Partner per booking is included in the £249 price
How many weeks pregnant should I be for the course?
The best time to start the course is between 22-30 weeks. If you are struggling to decide what dates fit best with you, please get in contact and we can work out which course would be best for your dates.
Do you cover all types of birth?
Yes, Vaginal, Caesarean and all types of Assisted birth are included in the classes so you can feel prepared for all options
How long are the sessions?
The sessions are 2 hours long, including a brief coffee/cake/loo break.
The dates of the courses don't work with me - is there anything I can do?
If our course dates/times don't fit with you, please make contact. We can try to find another date that might work, or I could arrange private online teaching for you through our 1:1 support video calls.
1:1 Support FAQs
Can my partner join the session?
Yes, Partners are welcome to join the video call at no extra cost
How long is a session?
Each session is 60 minutes, however you are more than welcome to book more than one session. Please get in touch if you want to discuss booking more than 4 and I will arrange a discount for you.
What happens in a session?
Personalised guidance on any pregnancy-related questions. If there is something specific you wish to discuss, for example, a curve ball from a recent appointment, you can put some brief details on the booking form so I can be more prepared for your session.
Is this a medical appointment?
No, but professional advice and reassurance are offered.
If you have medical concerns for yourself or the wellbeing of your baby, please always contact your GP, Midwife, 111 or 999.
Can I reschedule?
Yes, just get in touch to arrange a new time.
None of your times fit with me, can I still book?
If our available times on the booking calendar don't fit with you, please get in touch on 07311 968395, or via email at info@yourlocalmidwife.co.uk - we can normally find a time that fits everyone, even if it wasn't originally a time that is on the calendar - I will fit you in!
